the S.H.M.I.L.Y project
Hand-written letters are one of my favorite ways to care about the people around me. It shows a level of intention and care that I believe is becoming a lost art, and it’s nice to have a tangible token of care.
Inspired by my 5th grade teacher who told us her grandparents would hide notes around their house every day in order for the other to find them as an act of connection, care, and expression of love, the S.H.M.I.L.Y project is the one stop shop for people who love words, gifts, and acts of service. Once a month, you will receive a handwritten letter, a trinket, and a piece of art the old-fashioned way, via snail mail.
These letters will be letters of encouragement, affirmations, jokes, little wisdoms and good news happening in the world. A small trinket and also small piece of art will be included in your envelop as an additional act of care and something cute to look forward to. Overtime you will have your very own Childlike Creative art collection to look back on that you can keep for yourself or give away to your community around you.
